The Wild Orchid Foundation visited Peru to expand and visit other humanitarian  projects.  In our expansion, we connect with other cultures and philanthropists with progressive plans. First, we visited Agro Vision Farms which is a collaborative project withWild Orchid Vice President, Alberto Jimenez Crespo; and Board
Member Ari Miller and other partners. In a growing project to develop farmland in Lambayeque; crops (blueberries, raspberries, grapes, avocados) are cultivated  for sustenance in a previously underdeveloped region. As a result the economy has risen in this community. By hiring women and providing them with salaries, the rate of wife battery has significantly decreased since women are now bringing in a significant income to the household.

The Wild Orchid Team also visited The Sol y Luna Foundation in Cusco. The Foundation helps Inca Children in The Sacred Valley by providing them with an education. Founder, Petite runs the school from the profits of her boutique hotel also called Sol y Luna. http://asociacionsolyluna.com/nosotroseng.html#historia
